Corina Rose San Diego When I sing, I feel God coming through my throat chakra. I was born and raised in San Diego. I grew up selling vegetables in my family's farm stand. My dad always sang around the house. His favorite song to sing was "Summertime." I've been singing since I was a little girl. I sang "The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston in the 4th grade talent show and that changed my life. I went to UC Santa Cruz and majored in classical voice but my favorite class was Latin American Ensemble where we got to play panpipes and sing songs in Quechua. I preferred jazz to opera and didn't feel like I fit in. I loved World music, and wanted to travel. I went to Southeast Asia for 6 months after college and then I joined a rock band as their lead singer. After that, I joined a band called Rising Star and was the only female singer in the 8 person group. I sang with them every weekend for 3 years, in every venue in San Diego. At that time I wrote and recorded my first album. After leaving Rising Star, I started my own band but that was short -lived. Then I taught myself guitar and started teaching music full time. I dived deep into personal development, teacher stuff, master's degree, and even tried having a boyfriend, and after all that I put together a second album of songs I had written on guitar. That album is called Love Is Everywhere. Today, I am about to release my third album. It's actually the first album that is very intentional- it's called "Our Love is Freedom" and the theme of the album is Love - universal, transcendent, energetic, and passionate. Each song represents a different facet of love - self -love, cosmic love, romantic love, love for humanity and each other. I feel strongly that tapping into the powerful energetic force of Infinite Love is healing. So i decided to do my best to bring more love into the world through my music. I am happy I get to blend my spirituality, my personality, my sexuality, and my musicality into an offering for humanity. I am honored and humbled to share my gifts with the world.
