Control Shift Ali Rizvi Los Angeles Los Angeles based alternative rock band Control Shift is ready to take over your radio. Principal songwriter and guitarist Ali Rizvi found vocalist MT Letsinger on a gig site. When he heard Letsinger’s voice demos, Rizvi knew he had found the sound he had been searching for. They went to work on writing and recording what will become their debut album, “Per Aspera Ad Astra,” planned for release in early 2022. MT headed up to Ali’s studio once a week for months on end to record, re-record and rework the songs to get them to where they are today: a collection of powerhouse alternative rock n roll, fused with sonic textures that make up a lot of the bands biggest influences like Tool, Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle. With undeniable vocal prowess, catchy hooks and a fierce rhythm section, Control Shift is here to make a statement…rock is not dead.
