Constantin Krahmer Rostock This is the channel of Rostock-based piano/synthesizer player and label owner Constantin Krahmer. Constantin studied jazz piano at the Musikhochschule in Cologne from 2006-2011. Besides his own projects Close Up and Offshore he is very active as a sideman in various ensembles, e.g. Maik Krahl Quartett, Ampair:e, Zuzana Leharová Quartett, Radius, and many more. In 2011 he won the 2nd place of the solo piano competition “Steinway Förderpreis Jazz” in Düsseldorf. Numerous tours included performances in Poland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, England, Russia and the Philippines. In 2021 Constantin founded his label Yew Records to release interesting, contemporary jazz albums, including the debut album of his band Close Up (Feb 2022), his trio album with Thomas Morgan and Leif Berger (later 2022) as well as the completely improvised, electronic album of the band Ampair:e feat.
