PLSDNT by Constant Dullaart published on 2019-01-07T00:38:00Z a composition initiated by Constant Dullaart (NL 1979) based on the theme song from the Beaver Trilogy by Trent Harris, "Please don't keep me waiting" by Olivia Newton-John. The song originally appeared as the B-side to her 1979 single “deeper than the night”. The audio notation of the track was created by 'Widisoft', an early consumer software specialising in music interpretation by creating midi files from audio input. The failure to discern separate instruments and human voice in the harmony, polyphonic tracks makes for beautiful amateur approximations of the harmony. The general melody is held up, but the mistakes generate a sense of authenticity in hoomans. In this way it relates to the Beaver Trilogy, by copying the idea of imperfection in the rendition of the song. Created in 2013 the piece emphasises a romantic notion of amateurism in the time of computers imitating human behaviour. Dullaart made the piece after a pilgrimage to Beaver Utah, and Grooving Gary's final resting place.
