Colleen Francis Dallas, TX Colleen Francis is a multi-genre singer-songwriter born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. In her early years, she wrote music and ran an open mic club called “coffee house.” In 2009 Colleen moved to Nashville, TN and attended Belmont University for audio engineering and music production. During her time in Nashville, Colleen founded several bands, most successfully, the alternative rock band, Scarlett Seven. She spent her time co-writing and recording at historic RCA B and Oceanway Studios. After Scarlett Seven released their first album in 2013, Colleen teamed up with the producers Harold Elie and Wil Houchens at Cathy Jo Studios to work on her debut solo album, Golden Cage EP. Since its release in the summer of 2015, Colleen has performed live on independent radio stations and has received airplay on nationally syndicated radio in both the U.S. and Europe. Colleen has worked with organizations such as Musicians Without Borders, Palmetto Children’s Health, and NBC’s The Voice, and has written cross multi-genres from pop, rock, country, to alternative, j-pop, and dance. Colleen is currently writing and performing locally in the Dallas, TX area.
