Sometimes the simplest dancefloor instructions go the furthest. Juanito's method is more move-worthy than most: enter the club, 'Drink a Margarita', and let the beats get your frothing at the feet. Born in France but now based in Barcelona, Jonathan 'Juanito' Aguilar, discovered by the one and only Roger Sanchez back in 2012 (leading to an appearance on The S Man's Stealth Records collection 'Release Yourself'), has earned recognition on Armada, Flashmob and Simma Black, become a Traxsource troublemaker, and been acknowledged by Davide Squillace, Joeski and Marco Carola, amongst others, as a dancefloor mixologist who both shakes and stirs.
The strength of this 'Margarita' is all in the 100% proof bassline. Once this uncomplicated measure is knocked back and has started running through your veins, promising no comedown for six and a half minutes, Juanito goes about working in synth showers that get themselves tipsy, and more serene keys justifying their love of Clarisse's dancefloor liquor. With a vocal striking a pose and offering the perfect serving suggestion for the track's tipple of choice, 'Drink a Margarita' quenches the thirst other deep house tracks cannot reach.
Extra bubble and fizz comes from G Felix, remixing to the tune of Clarisse's time-honoured recipe. A server of the right stuff on a host of labels across the world, including Repopulate Mars, Miami Underground Records, Erase and Drumkit, the Brazilian keeps it straight dirty with bass fortifying the Juanito flavour, and a chaser of scissoring synth jolts, jerks and judders gives speakers a post-tequila grimace. Serve to a sweaty dancefloor and enjoy.
