The Dustbowl Troubadour was known for both his musicianship and activism. His song “This Land is Your Land” has now become the most well known folk song of all time. This two part series takes an in-depth look at what Guthrie’s legacy is as a musician and activist. The program features in-depth keynote speeches that were presented at the ‘Woody at 100: The Guthrie legacy” presented by the University of Alberta’s folkwaysAlive! in partnership with the Smithsonian Institute. The conference took place August 9th and 10th, 2012 at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
