I played a game in time gone by
When lives were few
No second chances
I found that castles held no prize
I found no tomb would stand un-raided
Then I was young and unafraid
And games were made and used and wasted
There was no journo to be paid
No score to buy
No gender hated

But the journos come at night
and they dox and lie and slander
As they tear your games apart
As they turn your games to shame

They insulted us and lied
They filled their sites with endless blunder
They put their ethics on the side
But somehow WE were all to blame.

And I still dream one day they’ll see
That we can play our games together
But there are those who will not see
and will just listen and believe

I had a dream our games would be
praised for their merit, not for money
praised for design and equality
