Circle Plantagenet We formed in 1965, parted company in 1970 and reformed in 2009. The bands 1968 recordings can be found on the http://britishmusicarchive.com website. One of the tracks entitled 'I Will Not Be Moved' has been included on the compilation album 'Looking at the Pictures in the sky' released by Cherry Red records in November 2017. In 1965 band members of The Blithe Spirits and The Abdomen joined to form The Tartan Quarter, with a line up of Ken Starks, Geoff Baker, Glenn Lee and Colin Allaway. After a memorable debut gig at the Bure club in Mudeford, a residency at a Southampton pub and various other bookings, the band went through further personnel changes with the addition of Chris Godden and Ken Wheeler, losing Colin Allaway in the process. This was the most successful line up with Ken Starks, lead vocal/rhythm guitar, Geoff Baker, bass guitar, Glenn Lee drums, Chris Godden, lead guitar/banjo and Ken Wheeler on keyboards. We are now a studio band only, and no longer play gigs or bookings. But still have a creative output and are currently working on our tenth album. The latest band member is Zane Godden on Keyboards.
