Fire recording with piezo mic by christi denton published on 2014-03-01T19:59:09Z Recorded on Feb. 23, 2014 at Caldera (Sisters, OR) as part of Julie Keefe's wood pile installation. This was recorded with a piezo mic attached to a thermocouple cable. The piezo mic was embedded in a log, and then fireproofed with refractory cement. The electrical hum occured because of the rainstorm that was happening during the recording… (and I plan to retry this recording in dryer weather).
