Tony Cliff, December 17 2014 by Chris Schweizer 1 published on 2014-12-18T12:19:47Z I had a REALLY long talk with the cartoonist behind the globe-trotting DELILAH DIRK series about tangental scenes in which background characters talk about period-appropriate stuff in a funny way, and whether or not including them in your book is good storytelling. And other stuff. This one, as I said, is really long. If you want a break-up point, 1:13:30 is where the conversation shifts from general stuff to really specific stuff, so it's a good place to split the track, if that's the sort of thing that you do. Genre Tony Cliff Comment by Ashley Knapp 1 @chris-schweizer-1: no need to apologize. ^^ Thanks for the podcast it's awesome. 2015-07-11T21:56:54Z Comment by Chris Schweizer 1 @ashley-knapp-1: Thanks, Ashley! Sometimes when I'm talking to folks I know well it becomes less of an interview and more of a conversation about work, so I'm sorry if I sometimes tend to overtalk. 2015-06-24T00:23:33Z Comment by Ashley Knapp 1 this has been your best episode so far. The sound quality has increased so much I am really proud of you for fixing it and it was a pleasure to listen to. Near the last quarter I noticed Chris started to dominate the conversation, and I was wondering what caused the shift... when he revealed at the end he'd had a punch of whisky. lol. That'd do it. Or you just got really inspired. :) Tony is just so insanely talentled, and I loved him sharing his 'Wait, you did this yourself' story because I had the same skeptical reaction when i first saw DD pages. The analysis of Kung-Fu panda is definitely going to make me take a second look at the film, and the discussion of the different generations of approaches to comics. Good episode, looking forward to the next one. :) 2014-12-29T01:00:12Z Comment by yaytime Enjoyed listening to you guys reflect on your work. 2014-12-20T20:07:12Z
