Chris McConville Chris McConville London Chris is a London based Scot, self-producing indie artist, melding indie and electronica with elements of rock and dance music. He counts himself lucky to have lived for a number of years as flat-mate of comedian, Rhod Gilbert, at his flat, where a number of now famous comedians would regularly come through the door. Rhod was a supportive and positive influence. Chris formerly played drums in indie band, The Bishops, who enjoyed a lot of success in Europe and played as far a-field as Japan and Russia. They opened the main stage for Oasis at Benicassim 2009 and played other big festivals such as Frequency Festival in Austria. They released 3 albums and toured the world, worked with analogue producer, Liam Watson and scored a No. 1 in Germany with single, ‘City Lights’. They also had a lot of fun supporting James Blunt on his UK and European Arena tour. 2021 single, 'You On The Brain', was played on Jim Gellatly's Amazing Radio show on Sunday 18/07/21. It made it into Manchester radio presenter, Laura Beth's 'Top 10' mixtape on 19/07/21, as well as being added to Glasgow station, Camglen Radio's playlist for 2 weeks. It also received airplay in Canada and USA. 2020 magical, acoustic electronica single ‘Isolation Improv, Vol. 3’ featuring the voice of American Actor, Noelle Adames is featured in French artist, Byebyefish’s popular Spotify playlist ‘New Indie Artists’ Other cool Spotify playlist adds: Fire - The Indiest Slaps by OrangeG Now Summer’s Gone - Underground Heroes 2 by Nunny Boy / Voldo. 2020, was a positive and prolific year despite the pandemic and signalled a new era of exciting new music by Chris which kicked off with euphoric single, ‘Fire’, in tribute to musician, the late Tony Eke, which was mixed and mastered by US based, Icelandic producer, Bjorgvin Benediktsson of Audio Issues.
