Chris Aguayo (b. 1991) is a uniquely talented songwriter and composer who lives in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Influenced by a plethora of music genres, Chris has developed polished sound throughout his years in the music industry. His creative and melodic approach to the guitar, which derives from jazz, rock, pop, classical, and ambient music, plays a big role in his composing. Chris also writes lyrics, sings, plays a handful of instruments, and records music in pro tools.

Chris Aguayo is originally from New Jersey has been playing music since he was a young teenager. He played and wrote music for the band Elodie from 2007-2011. With Elodie, Chris had the opportunity to perform at legendary underground music venues including The Stone Pony and Starland Ballroom. During his high school years, Chris also had the opportunity to perform at the internationally acclaimed Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan, NY as a co-principle bassist with his high school orchestra (Ridge High School).
In 2010, Chris started approaching writing music differently and started to write full songs, which he would play guitar, bass, and drums on, as well as write lyrics and sing on. He recorded a 4 song EP with Mike Lisa to start his new project and spread the word through the Internet and word-of-mouth.
In 2012, Chris released his song, “Don’t You Worry”, which peaked at #1 on MuseBoat Radio and aired on many online radio stations. Chris also reached #1 in all genres at ReverbNation. Chris had the opportunity to work with Grammy-nominated producer Perry Montauredes while recording "Don't You Worry". Throughout 2012, Chris also released two other singles, "Lost" and "Every Day". They also have been aired through a number of Internet radios.
Since August 2012, Chris has been working on his B.M in music composition and music performance at Moravian College. Through Moravian’s jazz program, he had the opportunity to work with jazz legends Phil Woods and Randy Brecker. Also emersing himself into the world of film-scoring, Chris received an award for his short film, "Space Warriors" at Moravian College Gala Film Night in April, 2013, hosted by internationally-known composer Sean O’Boyle. In December 2013, “Snow Bell”, premiered at the Moravian Vespers. In 2014, Chris was co-commissioned to write a big band chart for the school in celebration of the inauguration of president Mo Grigsby to Moravian College.
In March, 2014, Chris released a live CD from a concert he performed in January, 2014. The CD features guitar-driven compositions and arrangements of well-known standards. The full live show can be streamed on YouTube and SoundCloud.
Currently, Chris is working on a music video for his new alternative rock song, “We Won’t Take This Anymore”. He is also writing new music in many styles and will be recording new material this summer.
Chris is a member of Broadcast Music Inc (BMI, NY) and Society of Composers and Lyricists (NY).
