Cheek By Jowl Thessaloniki Cheek By Jowl is an English-speaking funk rock band with soul elements and influences from the global pop scene. The massive bass lines, the 'pure' grooves of the drumming, the memorable and inspirational themes of the guitar, and the Pop catchy melodies framed by a ‘Punk’ air make sure they touch the ear and the soul of each and every listener. They were formed in Thessaloniki in the spring of 2015 with great ease as all the members were and are very good friends, as the name Cheek By Jowl means, which in English slang means “a very close friend”. During this period of active presence of the band, several Lives took place in well-known music venues in Thessaloniki , Festivals at Athens (Schoolwave 2017), 1055 Rock Contest in Street Mode 2017 , at 1st Music Showcase Greece 2018, SKG Bridges Festival 2019..
