Champloo Music Podcast 14 with MONOMOOD by CHAMPLOO MUSIC

Following the podcast by Oskar Offmann we will introduce you another inspiring artist from this year's MoxxoM Line up. The Berlin Monomood mixed a 60 minute long set of finest and deepest Dub Techno for our 14th Podcast.

Monomood was born in a small village in the very east of Germany during the mid 80s. He lives in Berlin for more than ten years now. As an artist he is difficult to categorize. What is it? Techno? House? Drum and Bass? What about a quantum Funk or Ambient? Well, actually, it’s always a bit of everything – but it’s always new and fresh. It is hard to find the leitmotif, and yet there is one: quality. After dwelling on the Drum and Bass station for a while, it is most accurate to say Monomood took a sidestep towards his musical origin: the cosmos of dubby Techno sounds. His vinyl debut on Etui Records, carries us into the complex world of echoed chords and spacy delays. And while things are constantly changing, the sound of Monomood isn't standing still indeed. With more focus on the raw side of techno and highly appreciated releases on shtum and needledrums on his way, monomood launches his own platform called „abstract animal“ in spring 2013 to bring his floor-moving peaktime-attitude to vinyl.
