Center for Mindful Self-Compassion The non-profit Center for Mindful Self-Compassion is devoted solely to disseminating self-compassion. Self-compassion can be defined as learning to treat yourself the way you would treat a good friend when they suffer, fall short or fail in some way. Founded in 2012 by Kristin Neff, PhD and Christopher K. Germer, PhD, the center is a place where people can learn about self-compassion, find out where to train in MSC, continue to practice MSC skills, and explore how to teach MSC to others. We invite you to explore the site and find out how self-compassion may help you or those you care about.
