WIFI should be plenty fast. Anything less than a milisecond I know I can't detect. 2010-11-27T17:12:09Z Comment by Kropband Really cool stuff guys, this should be a weekly thing, talk to some gear companies about ads and you're on a roll ;) 2010-11-23T21:00:42Z Comment by cdm @rumpelfilter: We'll cover all kinds of things, but just as clarification ... the MeeBlip was in development prior to the Shruthi-1, and was not inspired by the Shruthi. The original project that inspired both was the AVRSynth, though the MeeBlip has evolved quite a lot from that. I said neither first nor only, but what is unique about the MeeBlip is that it's open source hardware; Shruthi-1 is not. That's really the new idea, in that there haven't been digital synths set up for hacking in that way, at least not cheap and open ones. 2010-11-22T17:20:13Z Comment by David Wager Here's hopeing for more of the same. Been on the prowel for this kind of podcast for ages and have only found stuff that is too arty or too techy and not verry practical!! I totally dig the fact that you can follow the content while doing other stuff, I have a two year old child and great podcasts like this are a godsend. Would have been good to hear what the MeeBlip sounds like on the show, but I suppose that their are plenty of examples on the web.... keep up the good work chaps. 2010-11-22T15:06:46Z Comment by raytrace @thingstocome: nps man - it was good fun to listen to 2010-11-22T14:00:07Z Comment by thingstocome @raytrace: Thanks as always for taking part! 2010-11-22T11:35:52Z Comment by thingstocome @alex: Thank you for listening. 2010-11-22T11:35:34Z Comment by thingstocome @tekkaz: Thanks for listening. A CDM podcast really was about time! :) And you're right, they have a great advantage, you can listen to them while working or doing other stuff... Just one thing I wanted to say: from what you say it seems like the MeeBlip is the first and only synth of its kind, and you failed to mentioned the other great device in this category: the Shruthi-1 (which might even have given you some inspiration for the Meeblip, at least I have it seen featured on CMD some time ago). This doesn't want to be MeeBlip-bashing, all the contrary, I think it's a really interesting device and I am really considering to buy one, but I felt the need to clarify on this, since the Shruthi-1 is also a great device and doesn't get all the attention it deserves. 2010-11-21T18:09:49Z
