October 13th 2018 Disquiet0354 by cboulter published on 2018-10-15T19:59:35Z This is my submission for the Disquiet Junto Project 0354: Rituals & Canticles. The idea as I read it was to envisage a somewhat post-apocalyptic future, and use samples of instruments that Nathan Moody had created for his album The Right Side of Mystery, which was were from that imagined future. Then randomly select a ritual that might needed music for it: I got 'Coming of Age' I wanted to go for a droney clattery thing with a bit of a trancey feel - using samples in Native Instruments Battery; more percussion from the modular running at 7/8; and drones sampled into the Make Noise Morphagene. Time was limited with this one.
