No stranger to the game, Ahmed Samy has been building his reputation by consistently providing a fresh take on the local electronic music scene through his infamously danceable sets. Through 20 years of DJing and after his pivotal residency at -now closed down- Cairo club Vent, he has managed to procure a dedicated cult-like following eager to get lost in his stripped-down grooves.

Samy owes his unique soundscapes to old school Vinyl mixing and decades of collecting records from all over the world. Through his mentorship program Strictly Vinyl, he has managed to share his knowledge with a new generation of DJs reviving the dying art of vinyl mixing in a young but rapidly growing scene.

Now, Samy is reaping the benefits of years of hard work and can be found headlining Cairo's top clubs every weekend. He has managed to reach an international audience through his Boiler Room set and has been booked both regionally and globally in 2019 sharing the bill with acts like Francesco Del Garda, Evan Baggs, Ryan Elliot, Domenico Rosa, Fumiya Tanaka, DJ Masda, Cabanne, and Sonja Moonear to name a few.

Samy is now a resident DJ in the city's popular club nights, and puts on his promoter hat to curate No Name; an intimate night focused on quality bookings from both the local and international scene.
