Cardinal Nichols on safely re-opening churches for private prayer on Radio 4's Today Programme by Catholic Church published on 2020-05-14T14:07:07Z Cardinal Vincent Nichols spoke to presenter Justin Webb on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on 14 May about how Catholic Churches can be safely re-opened for private prayer as the UK government eases its lockdown restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19. Genre Religion & Spirituality Comment by Steve Knight Sadly, Cardinal Nichols is once again "bowing down to Caesar" by waiting for HM government to give him the 'all clear'. He is directly answerable to GOD for the spiritual nourishment of his faithful and, therefore, has the right to decide BY HIMSELF whether or not it is safe for the parishioners within his diocese to enter the Cathedral or the churches for private prayer and/or public worship. The same applies to every diocesan bishop throughout England & Wales. Our 'shepherds' have manifestly abandoned their 'flocks' to the ravenous secular packs/prides of wolves/lions!! Lord have mercy; Christ have mercy; Lord have mercy. 2020-05-17T11:33:34Z
