Catherine Smet Catherine Smet is a classical and jazz pianist. She studied alongside Arnould Massart, Debrulle Michel Fabrizio Cassol and Barre Phillips. She was part of groups with different musical styles, ranging from improvised music or contemporary jazz to African and Latin music that she studied as well in Buenos Aires and Cuba. Her entire artistic journey reflects her desire to explore the possibilities for integrating composition and improvisation by composing for different groups and seeking a common material where classical, contemporary, jazz and tango can meet.
