Groovy rolling bass lines, minimal, acid and 90s house can all be heard in Cassette's sets and productions.
Not one to be pigeon holed, or limited by others’ perceptions, Cassette draws influence from many genres.
Early attendance at raves listening to Breaks, Garage, Drum n Bass and Chicago House, combined with her upbringing on Jazz & Soul have all helped shape her into the dynamic selector she is today.
Whether it be deep minimal or jacking old skool house there is a certain groove evident in all her musical choices that sets her sound apart from the masses. Cassette got soul!
Her infectious personality and creative sets continue to prove her reputation as a deserving local favourite.
She has strong support from renowned Sydney collectives S.A.S.H, Spice, Division Agency, Subsonic, Days Like, Blueprint, Return to Rio and We Love.
Allowing her to share the bill with many of her musical heroes including Apollonia, Archie Hamilton, Alex Kid and Dana Ruh.
Internationally, her mixes have been featured on radio stations, websites and blogs around the world resulting in club and festival gigs in Europe, USA, Africa, Mexico, Dubai and Asia.
Her music knowledge and creativity is not limited to the club scene, she has recently completed a project for VIVID Sydney 2018 and has previously been headhunted to work with high-end brands Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Harpers Bazaar, Nike and Adidas.
So what's on the horizon for cassette? She is temporarily taking a break from her weekly radio show whilst she completes her full time studies at TAFE music and continues to fine tune her sound. With an EP and plenty of unreleased bombs under her belt I'd advise you to stay tuned cause Cassette is worth the hype...
