IST 148\Don Mescal by Casa Caos

Don Mescal is a French-Italian DJ living in Montreal and has been DJing for the past twenty years. His work extends as the co-founder of the music label and collective Cosmovision Records - created by a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada. This Montreal-based multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary artistic platform stands for an all-embracing cultural approach, art and the universe itself. Don Mescal has toured around the world and got the crowds dancing in festivals and clubs as Boomtown (UK), Burning Man (USA), Piknik Electronik (Montreal) and La Java (Paris), Bluedog Café (Mexico), Lucky Coq (Australia). Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he puts forward new ideas on the table, brewing an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavor.

Combining a myriad of styles and vintage flavors in a joyfully flamboyant vibe, the DJ recorded this 148th edition at home during a customary afternoon. Using an extensive repertoire, from Folktronica to Slow Techno & Tribal, he put together a selective musical voyage and channelled a more upbeat cadence throughout an 80-min mixtape, which oriental flavors and a bit of new wave influence will be sensed with a contemporary perspective linked to electronic music and a positive spiritual flow.
