This Friday will be the ceremonial start on the Town Square with the first dog sled team leaving the starting line at 6:30pm. Feel free to come earlier to find a spot and enjoy some hot chocolate and watch a laser light show. Learn more about the history of this event and what the entire race entails. This year has some really talented teams participating. Jackson marks the first stop in a series of stops planned for this race. It's a really wonderful 'kick off' event and all are invited to come and watch (it's free). Last year the organizers made the decision to cancel the ceremonial start out an abundance of caution with the uncertainty of COVID. This year the ceremonial start is back on. Each Wednesday morning at 8:30am a representative from the Town of Jackson or a representative of a local organization will join Del Ray on the air to talk about upcoming meetings, events and happenings.
