Adam Parsons AKA Captain Accident is a multi-instrumentalist reggae/ska/soul artist from Cardiff who creates a unique blend of lovers rock, roots reggae, ska and rocksteady at his home studio.
This sound is brought to life on stage with the help of a collective of musicians known as “The Disasters”. The energetic live show is guaranteed to get people up and dancing. With soulful vocals, soaring twin guitars and a truly infectious groove, there’s no standing still when Captain Accident and his clumsy sidekicks hit the stage.
Captain Accident currently has 2 self produced albums under his belt - “Pick up the Microphone” (2010) and “Slippin Up” (2013) with a third album “Wake & break” scheduled for release in July 2016.
Through intensive touring of the UK and Europe, as well as featuring on Jaya The Cat’s most recent album “The New International Sound of Hedonism” alongside Itch Fox, of The King Blues, more and more people are becoming aware of Captain Accident’s unique sound. As well as receiving regular airplay both nationally and internationally, Captain Accident’s second album “Slippin Up” earned a nomination as "one to watch" at the European Urban Music Awards 2013 and the continually growing fanbase in the UK and mainland Europe, evidenced through increasing numbers during tours is showing a good sign that the music is spreading nicely.
Captain Accident and The Disasters have thus far been lucky enough to share a stage with such artists as Toots & The Maytals, Less Than Jake, Aswad, The Skints, Prince Fatty & Horseman, Pama International, Mad Professor, Bad Manners, The Toasters, Sonic Boom Six, Neville Staple, Fishbone, The Wurzels, David Rodigan and countless others. Since their emergence on the reggae scene, they have become a staple part of the UK festival circuit, having appeared at Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair as well as several others.
Captain Accident’s third self-produced album, “Wake and Break” is set to be released in July 2016, with tours around the UK and mainland Europe in the pipeline, including various festival appearances. 2016 is looking like a smasher of a year for Cardiff’s Clumsiest Reggae artist and his entourage of hazards!!
