Canberra Writers Festival Canberra Writers Festival Canberra The Canberra Writers Festival is a not for profit organisation held in Australia's National Capital. The three-day festival attracts book lovers, readers and writers from around the nation and the local community and is held in an array of venues including The National Library of Australia, Old Parliament House, The Australian National University, National Museum, The National Portrait Gallery, National Press Club and the Hotel Realm Precinct. The Festival provides audiences with the opportunity to engage in an array of activities from panel and conversation sessions, workshops to lunches and intimate dining events. The theme of the Festival is Power, Passion, Politics, reflecting the city's love affair with learning, knowledge and leadership.
