BYNX

BYNX is a Los Angeles native who presents the sound of Deep Melodic House and Indie Nu Disco with a few influenced sub genres of electronica and funk.

In the middle of a clustered one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, BYNX—the recording alias of Chris Patrick—spun his first record. The year was 2008 and the whole space was filled with records scattered along the floors and walls. Though the self-made venue was difficult to maneuver in, Patrick and his mentor made this an every night event. Two years later in 2010, the hobby had grown into a craft when Patrick won an opportunity to perform live at Coachella’s Music and Arts Festival. The stage was settled between the Mojave and Sahara tent and just big enough for Patrick to establish a new platform for himself as a dedicated musician. His festival debut launched him into extensive opportunities where he began opening up for artists such as Dillon Francis, Zhu, Morgan Page and Avicii.
In 2012, the producer started his first established production team under the name of Oddio Visual, a duo project that gained a SoundCloud reputation in the electronic blog world. The project dwindled and in 2016, VIZN was born. VIZN boasted more of an upbeat, progressive house sound contradicting to the previous work of Oddio Visual. However, VIZN soon followed the decline of Oddio Visual and Patrick took the concession to work on his long determined—‘back pocket project’ that would soon become BYNX.
