Burn of Black Burn of Black was born from an idea of Marco "Markwild" Piva, a guitarist from a thrash/power background, influenced by thrash metal bay area bands such as Exodus and Testament; the singer Giorgia Barbierato instead had more melodic influences ranging between Nightwish, Kamelot and Sonata Arctica; Alex "Jmbo" Finesso belonged to the "kick-ass" american sound, with a hint of Alternative. Subsequently Filippo Avanzi joined the band, a skilled drummer with progressive influences. Only a few months later, the line-up is completed by Valentina "BloodyVale" belonging to Gothic metal, who determines a firm rhythmic basis. The line-up completion is indeed a great boost of enthusiasm for the new formed band. But right as the band had reached its form, Fillippo had to leave for job reasons, quitting with that project; his decision causes a significant stop for Burn of Black. In january 2010 the band reunites thanks to the collaboration with Alberto Lemoni, a drummer whose main familiarity is linked to Thrash-Melodic Swedish Death, plus Nicola Rigato, a virtuous of the piano. During the years and after many line-up changes, the band finds its expressive identity and stabilizes the players in July 2011, thanks to the joining of both Giacomo "Jacko" Cordioli, a singer with a clear Heavy-Power background and Sylvia "Shiva" Fabbris who sets the rhythmic lines as hard as stone with her post Brutal Core influences. The band drastically shifts to more modern sounds, working with DysFunction production under the wise guidance of Eddy Cavazza and Dualize (Logical Terror, Rude Forefathers, Soilwork, Dino Cazares, Fear Factory and many more), giving birth to a modern Thrash Metal enriched by clear Alternative and Post-Core influences.
