Bulat Bulat Nasibullin Los Angeles I was born in Ufa, Russia. At 12 years old I moved to England where I started playing drums. Then at 15 I picked up the guitar and despite being completely tone deaf I started strumming and singing songs by bands like Blink182, Greenday and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. After taking some singing lessons, I decided to explore it seriously at the age of 16-18, also the age when I took Music Technology courses and learnt how to record music. After finishing school, music was the only thing that I wanted to do. I went to the University of Westminster to study Commercial Music. All I did was sit in the studio for 3 years and smoked lots of stuff. Listening back to some of my work from that time there is a clear pattern. First year of university: the work is shabby/simple/no attention to details. Second year: getting better, need more attention to details and to improve as a musician. Third year, getting decent though songs take far longer to make now than they did in the first year :-). After finishing University I decided to take a chance and moved to Vancouver, Canada to get my citizenship there. That's where I started my first real band 'Alma Nine'. It took a while but we were pretty good at covers and our own stuff, but gigs were hard to get until we finally recorded our album 'Time Changes All'. After that things started to fall into place a little, but our drummer had to move back to his native Germany. So the band broke up and decided to go solo for now, until I move to LA next september. This is music that has been in me from the start but I never sat down and recorded it. If you are reading this, listen to the music in good headphones, pretty loudly and please give it 100% of your attention as there is a lot of stuff going on. Thanks!
