To my Fans, Friends, and Future listeners,
I started playing the clarinet when I was in 4th grade. As I grew I kept music close to my heart. As you would imagine, I played guitar, had bands and whatnot. But it wasn't until I met up with some folks in Santa Cruz, CA that I was inspired to begin what I consider the meat of my musical journey. I was drawn into making music and haven’t looked back since. Until now.
When I did take a long hard look at my journey I realized it has come to an end of sorts. While I will always listen, enjoy, live with music, I will no longer be composing, have plans for any sort of music producer/player/and related things career. In essence I am taking bubbles and freezing him in carbonite. This is not a break, this is not a tantrum, this is an amicable divorce.
I have achieved most everything I wanted to with music. I've done things that most people never get to. I was flown places, paid $, I was interviewed, and blogged about. I was on Solipsistic Nation’s #twittermix multiple times next to some of the most awesome creators in my field. I have performed for 2 girls making out all the way up to an MC battle in front of 1200 people. I have dozens of hours worth of released material; including 10 albums.
And that just is scraping the surface of what this journey has taught me. But when I look towards the future, and when I examine what costs I paid to take this journey it is abundantly clear this journey should, and will end. Here. Now.
So I am in the process of archiving all my material. Shutting down extemporaneous sites with bubbles stuff. I shall keep up my works for download in the current places, Itunes, bubblesmusic.com, and soundclound. I fully intend on writing an essay on my experience of which I will post here in the future.
I am not sure which road I will travel now find me on facebook, go friend me and stuff. Whatever it is I do in the future, I promise I will kick as much ass at that as I have at music/producing.
Mad RESPECT to all you friends who help, listened, bought, and otherwise taught me something.
