This Body of Death (final) by broccolifish published on 2013-03-26T05:06:59Z I was dreaming a dream of futility and failure and loss. The dream was soundtracked with something like the melody you hear within, but by the time I started writing it, the melody had taken on its own character. The dream was so melancholy that it made me think of Romans 7:22-24: "For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" My only hope in the face of futility and failure is the same one that Paul gives in the very next line: "Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!" (Romans 7:25) Written in the Caustic 2 app for Android.
