Jon Henry | Stranger Fruit by BRIC RADIO

In response to the endemic murder of African-American men at the hands of authorities, Jon Henry’s photographs turn to the mothers of the communities, to the women who must endure the senseless loss and carry on. His ongoing project, Stranger Fruit, examines the mother-son relationship as a manifestation of the lasting effects of the fear of losing one’s loved ones. Jon Henry was selected as the 2017 “Best in Show” winner of BRIC’s OPEN (C)ALL: TRUTH exhibition. This exhibition was curated by Sol Nova.
