scenes from a rural summer <disquietjunto0310> by Mountain/Shore published on 2017-12-10T15:50:24Z Prompt: recreate a sound from memory. Source: lazy, bucolic, childhood summer in a hammock; sound of wind chimes broken up by the distant rhythmic firing at a sporting clay range; walking through a stand of trees into a clearing for high-tension lines and their low hum. MI Rings for Chimes chopped and fed through Shapeshifter delay line in Vocoder Carrier mode, Multicassa with distorted Kick & Tom for the gun range, Mangrove FMing Elements for the crackling discharge and low hum of power lines. General CV in chord mode with wide break spacing and attack turned up for overall mood. Comment by Mountain/Shore @half-unusual: Thanks. It was a bit of chance using the built-in cascading clock dividers on the Multicassa, a simple set of multiplications and divisions by Tempi of the master Polygome clock, and some logic by Cold Mac. I muted/unmuted one of the Tempi channels that was coupled to the Polygome clock pinging the Rings and the General CV to give a bit more movement in how the chime rang out and the chord was voiced respectively. 2017-12-11T14:29:01Z Comment by mat <3 2017-12-10T22:06:25Z Comment by halF unusuaL Nice sounds and mix of rhythms - uplifting 2017-12-10T21:20:03Z
