Bowler is a busy man right now, and quite possibly on the verge of something very special…
With an uncompromising sound of rugged house and techno, Bowler has begun to etch his name onto a list of in-demand DJs on the underground scene of both London and his hometown of Reading. With some smoking productions in the bag and ready to be unleashed, along with the continued rise of his own SYSTEMATIK parties, you begin to realise why these high profile bookings at XOYO, The Egg, Ministry Of Sound and SW4 keep rolling in.
Bowler’s unique take on the underground scene has enabled him to craft an ability to make his sound work on any platform; whether that be in a dark back room, a warm up set before a headline act or upping his game on an outdoor stage. A quick glance at the varied list of DJs he has shared a bill with lately is case in point - Eric Prydz, Seth Troxler, Pan-Pot, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Eats Everything, Solomun, Dusky, Magda and you are just scratching the surface. Drawing on all this experience, there came a time when Bowler wanted to give something back to the scene that kickstarted this new chapter in his life.
It was his desire to ignite an underground scene in Reading, as well as bring some of the biggest hitters to his peers, that led Bowler to launch SYSTEMATIK. Now in its 3rd year it is widely recognised as one of principal events in Reading thanks to ‘on the money’ guests such as Dense & Pika, Hot Since 82, Patrick Topping and wAFF. With these big names backed up by a super strong roster of residents, with Bowler at the forefront, the night has soared to sell-out status and even prompted plans for some future parties in the nation’s capital.
This is your open invitation: Bowler has reached a fork in the road, but it is not one he is going to pause at for long. His sights are firmly set on where he wants to be and, with so to announce over the coming months, he is armed with everything he needs to get there… You should come along for the ride.
