Boogiemeister, aka BiOniC LoVe SoUnDsySteM, are the two musical projects of Adrian Blackhurst. He produces music, dj's & organizes music events on Maui, Hawaii. After co-founding band Delhi 2 Dublin, he left on global voyage & now focuses on solo music. He uses the almighty laptop and plays bass, guitar, synths, melodica, & various percussion. His debut full length album "EthnosonicSUBfunk Theories" was released July 2008 - an album exploring genres such as global beats/dub/dancehall/breakbeats & glitch with instruments from India, Persia, Korea, & Japan. He co-founded Beats Without Borders collective, a Vancouver crew making global fusion dance parties since 2004, and in January 2011 launched Beats Bazaar productions on Maui. Music is his longest love affair!
Bionic Love Soundsystem tunes lean towards the sounds of global & dubwise electronica, whereas Boogiemeister is more about future funk, moombahton, & breakbeats!
In 2007/08 he went on an epic globetrotting journey where he performed gigs on the beaches of Goa & Mumbai India, Amsterdam, Vienna, Salzburg & Krakow, as well as recording much of the “EthnosonicSUBfunk Theories”. He has shared the stages with artists such as Nickodemus, Cheb I Sabbah, David Starfire, Bassnectar, Bonobo…
Adrian is currently focusing on new live & studio projects, as well as dj’ing.
He spins global beats, electro-swing, dub, glitch-hop, future funk, breakbeats, bass wompin’ goodness & then some! Something for everyone! He puts on events under the name Beats Bazaar productions, teamed up with Origins Music, here in Hawaii with artists such as Gaudi, Ganga Giri, Bluetech, Mad Professor, David Starfire, Nickodemus. www.facebook.com/BeatsBazaar
