By braiding together vocals, soprano saxophone, trombone and piano, they are creating a unique sonic weave. The absence of drums and bass leads to a light ensemble where rhythm and tempo are elements available to all band members. Blommor Inomhus is based in Malmö and Gothenburg, but their roots reach Reykjavík, Mölnlycke and Torestorp. Their influences come from contemporary folk music, pop and free improvisation. After five years of searching, they have found a world of tones with a passport belonging to the land of chamber jazz. Herbarium, their debut album, is the result of a period during which the floral world has inspired the band. Each track is a page in a herbarium, where a specific plant has inspired the composition through thoughts, emotions and stories. For two years, the music has been weaved; now is the time to dismantle the loom and roll out the weave. Herbarium is recorded and mixed by Johannes Lundberg at Studio Epidemin, and mastered by Henrik Alsér at Svenska Grammofonstudion.
