09-04-15- 1456- Moganshan Lu Pile Driver by Bivouac Recording published on 2011/07/13 23:36:19 +0000 Recorded April 15, 2009. My friend John Panzer came to visit me in Shanghai and I was showing him around M50. The entire time we were there, there was this amazing 'Thunking' sound. It was loud enough so that the glass rattled in the window frames. After a little bit of exploring we found that the source came from a pile driver, working to extend the shore for a future promenade. We found a good vantage point and watched the process of lifting then driving a concrete pile into the ground. It was amazing to be that close. One of my favorites.
