Honky Tonk was the first rhythm and blues record to cross over into the mainstream charts ranking #2 under Elvis Presley's Hound Dog and Heartbreak Hotel in the Pop Charts of Fall and Winter 1956-57 The interview looks at my recollections of my uncle 1956-early 1960s, the Doggett family music history, jazz history in Harlem as it relates to Bill Doggett’s development as a budding jazz pianist who would reside at The Savoy Ballroom in Harlem with Lucky Millinder and His Orchestra 1939-42 .
