Bill Doggett presents the Pre Concert Lecture for the February 17th 2022 posthumous San Francisco Symphony concerts for the late Conductor Michael Morgan. Doggett was the orchestra's first Black pre concert lecturer. Doggett talks about the history of black culture in Black composer music for the program's works-Carlos Simon-"Amen", Florence Price, Symphony#3 and the significance of MARIAN ANDERSON and Conductor Pierre Monteux in San Francisco Symphony history 1937-1945.
