Lofi Guitar by benreaves published on 2013/09/21 02:22:12 +0000 Likely the weirdest thing I've ever uploaded. This is me playing my RG321MH into a bitmuncher, which is reducing the digital audio resolution and sample rate to squarize the signal and distort the frequency response. Then it's through an Orange Overdrive 120 and into a Marshall 1960A cab. I had two of these rigs set up with a stereo tune before them to make the signal spread across the stereo field, but you can't hear that since I recorded the event with my iPhone. All you can hear is the strings of the guitar and my KRK monitors. It's a strange sound, yeah, but I found that the lighter I distorted the signal with the bitmuncher, the more musical it got. I feel like it could become a useful effect, but this recording borders on nonsense.
