Hummingbirds [ disquiet0348 - hotmiseenabyme ] by Belly Full Of Stars published on 2018-09-04T08:47:43Z Created for the Disquiet Junto Project 0348: Hot Mise En Abyme @disquiet The project: Make a piece of music inspired by the art-historical term for fractal/recursion. Nesting loops from a piano improv, with incidental bird chirps. I processed a small section from the original recording using only Sonar's Groove Clip Looping, extending it to 2, 3, 4, and 8 times the original length, and also shortening it to 1/2, 1/4, and nearly 1/8. I put all the resulting tracks together and, for the most part, let them run. Clicks from the processing are left in. The piece ends after the longest stretched version of the phrase finishes playing.
