Beit Almusica Shefa'amr Beit Almusica (house of music) Shefa’amr (R.A.) is a non-profit organization (NGO) established in 1999 by a group of young artists. Our mission is to promote cultural rights of the Arab Palestinian minority in Israel, to enrich society through the development of musical environments, to open prospects for artists, and to interact musically with other cultures. Fifteen years ago the organization began in two small rooms at the back of a parking place of a store building in Shefa’amr. Today, Beit Almusica is a well-known and esteemed music center serving more than 10,000 beneficiaries every year. Establishing the first – and up to today the only officially recognized - Arab Conservatory in Israel in 2004 was a milestone. Since then hundreds of children from all over the Galilee have been enrolled at our different programs, showing excellent performances. Other flagship programs include a Yearly Music Festival and our Community Outreach Program. Beit Almusica is a unique organization as it combines Eastern and Western styles and targets the Arab Palestinian community in a culturally sensitive way.
