You're Not Alone by bdavis.bd published on 2012/12/29 18:36:57 +0000 One of my favorite RPG's has got to be Final Fantasy IX. Everything about this game, from the medieval setting to the thrilling story, draws the player in from the first moment clear up to the exciting climax. The music for this game was spectacular. This is where my all time favorite video game track comes from. You're Not Alone is a very deep and emotional track. It depicts a moment late into the game where the main character is a little lost within himself and having to do some deep soul searching to figure out who he really is. It was wonderful to take this wonderful work and put it into an orchestral setting. Original song composed by Nobuo Uematsu Comment by bdavis.bd When I originally posted this song, I was using Garritan Personal Orchestra. I have since replaced Garritan with EWQL. I traded out the old instruments in this song and replaced them with the new ones. The file here was created with the new EWQL sounds. 2014/01/15 23:34:42 +0000 Comment by bdavis.bd @neutrient: Yeah...I use Garritan Personal Orchestra and they are very dry samples. However, I will be upgrading to EWQL very soon...can't wait! I might go back in when I have a little time and work on this a bit more. Glad you enjoyed it though! 2013/01/28 19:54:33 +0000 Comment by Neutrient This is great! - I agree with the comments about this on Gamedev though - I wonder if you could go in and work with each instrument, see if subtle reverbs/room sims etc help give it more 'big'ness - more realism. I've not done much orchestral work so I can only comment from a general production POV. Great form though! 2013/01/28 19:36:37 +0000
