"Vouched" has been selected by the Goat Farm Arts Center.
An intimate evening of readings in the Goat Farm Art Center’s Goodson Yard, Thursday, July 18th at 7pm.
VouchedATL is celebrating its second birthday with the return of the Very Vouched Birthday! This year’s celebrations will be back and bigger than ever! Once again the evening will serve as a fundraiser for the Wren's Nest Kipp Scribes tutoring program. A great number of Atlanta’s literary champions will be gathering for an evening to read the work of the children who have benefitted from the tutoring program. In addition to these readings attendees can anticipate hearing original works from authors Blake Butler and Matt Bell.
Readers sharing the work of KIPP Scribes include: Rachel Maddux, Lain Shakespeare, Amelia Lerner, Jamie Allen,
Brooke Hatfield, Thomas Wheatley, Jessie Matheson, Scott Daughtridge, Amy McDaniel, Myke Johns, Jayne O’Connor, Terra McVoy, Johnny Drago, Julian Modugno, Patrick Shaffner, Kate Sweeney, Amy Herschleb, Jason Mallory, Molly Dickinson, Bruce Covey, Gina Myers, and Sue Gilman.
Each of these authors will be paired with a piece written by one of the tutored student writers from WINK and the Wren’s Nest Publishing Company. Each reading will only be 1-2 minutes in length, with breaks intermittently between readers for raffle give-a-way's from our sponsors.
Participants will receive 1 raffle ticket for their $5 admission, and additional tickets for every $5 donated or spent on Vouched or Wren’s Nest goods!
This year’s raffle sponsors include: Dad’s Garage, the Wren’s Nest, Atlanta Movie Tours, Wonderroot, MOCA GA, The High Museum, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Inman Park Squirrel Census, and more!
TICKET PRICE = $5
