Mû’s music cannot be explained using words. Explain that he have recorded fusion or jazz albums, traditional music, electronic or spoken word, tells us very little about their music.
Mû’s life has been one endless tissue of cultural intersections however, his music shows a very clear core. And it was in pursuit of this core that we decided to go with the recording of this album. An album of Mû, being simply Mû. A voice, a breath, an essence. A lonely soul standing before the universe, which is a universe in itself. A universe with its own time, a time that the listener should respect if they wants to find something new and vital, that will last.
Mû’s music is made of moments and the alignment of moments. It is made of modal plains and mountainous harmonic constructions. From the magnanimity and claims. Of trembling murmurs and warrior cries. From intimacy, extroversion, shyness, dancing, melancholy and celebration.
Mû’s music cannot be explained using words. It is heard. It is experienced. It is lived. With the production of this album, we have only tried to honour it, turning the mirror to the artist.
