b.e_cooling Brian Cooling Shepton Mallet b.e_cooling is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. He has been performing and recording music for over 30 years. Here you can listen to some of his music, both recent solo efforts and (less recently) with Woody Woodward. As a solo artist, b.e_cooling plays acoustic guitar with the occasional support of a drum machine and harmonica. He has a wide vocal range which regularly receives favourable comments from audiences of all ages. Over the past 10 years, b.e_cooling has had his music broadcast on different community and digital radio stations and has been interviewed twice on BBC Somerset radio with Emma Britton. He has performed at a number of festivals and local events including Glastonbury Festival in 2008. Nowadays, b.e_cooling can be found performing regularly at venues in and around Somerset in England. In addition to his own material, he has a large repertoire of covers from the 50s to the current day from which to draw. The following review is several years old but provide a flavour of what he continues to offer: "b.e_cooling mixes urban themes and rustic moods to create memorable songs which smoothly cross several genres (blues, folk, rock, country). With a tantalising blend of acoustic guitars, dulcimers and an eclectic range of traditional instruments providing an infective accompaniment to a sonically rich vocal range, b.e_cooling creates an experience that is “clever, politically charged, and fun” (Mid-Somerset Journal, 10/2009).
