Quintus by Axel Weiß published on 2014-12-30T19:01:19Z Music, guitars, art painting: Ax. ( the painting detail is from my art series "palaeoten" • www.weiss-haenitsch.de ) This tune is about contrasts and intensity in life, in remembrance of a completely forgotten ancient roman revolutionary, who geniously resisted then dictator lucius cornelius sulla: quintus sertorius (123–72 bc). All of this music was played with a 1979 jazz guitar (ibanez gb 10), roland e-20 analog space echo, electro harmonix eh-5000 ring modulator, boss rc-2 looper and a floor pod plus - all in first takes and directed with a fv-500l expression pedal. music: • https://soundcloud.com/axelweis • https://hearthis.at/axelweiss • https://drooble.com/axw • www.weiss-haenitsch.de/AxW.html • www.axelweis.bplaced.net/wordpress • www.facebook.com/AxelWeissMusicianProfile • www.youtube.com/user/azzelweit art: • www.weiss-haenitsch.de Genre free jazz rock fusion Comment by CHIKUSAI It feels wild! great! 2020-04-21T20:41:59Z Comment by Haris Vu Can your guitar crazy impressive! 2018-01-27T11:33:46Z Comment by John McLaughlin Is that a ring modulator in the mix? I just realised why it sounds like my namesake - it is the "In A Silent Way" reference. I like this extended version. 2017-03-24T15:02:25Z Comment by Jonathan Beckenstein Very well paced improvisation. For some reason, the beginning part of it is slightly reminiscent of some Steve Howe work, but from there, the tune takes its own unique direction. Will have to listen a few more times to start digesting more fully :) 2014-12-31T01:42:25Z
