Auxesis Brighton Auxesis began when Mel Sanson, Jack Rowan and their shared passion for heavy riffs and distorted guitars. The two became good friends and began writing music together. Mel Sanson's diverse vocal style, ranging between melancholic, grunge, punk and hardcore, mixed with Jack Rowan's post-hardcore tech- guitar style offers a fresh distinctive sound for alternative music lovers. In June 2015, Mel and Jack had written and self recorded a 4 track demo. Alec Greaves joined the band on drums. With a history of performing live together, a united love for experimental time signatures and low tuned guitars, the three piece were keen to get into the studio. Auxesis were also keen to find a producer that suited their sound. With an impressive history of recording heavy rock, grunge, punk, post-hardcore bands and a reputation for being great to work with, Auxesis went into the studio with Mark Roberts (Broker, Black Peaks, The Rocket Dolls, Hot Moth) and recorded their debut 4 track EP. Occult macabre artist Lozzy Bones designs the artwork for the single/EP. Well known on the alternative scene, Mel is a huge fan of her work. In Spring 2016, the line up was complete. The band invited Danny Knowles, who had previously collaborated with Jack, to join the band on Bass. The musically strong four piece are already attracting attention after just 3 shows. Their first live show was at Isfield Festival, following by their first hometown to show, a Sea Shepherd fundraiser supporting She Crazy and Broker at The Cowley Club in Brighton. Auxesis most recent show was in London, supporting Joan Ov Arc's Album Launch at the Black Heart in Camden. Watch this space!
