The 50th Academy Lecture - Being Humane: A Contested History - was given by Academy President Professor Joy Damousi FASSA FAHA, Professor in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne. The Lecture was held Thursday 14 November 2019 at The Edge, State Library of Queensland, Brisbane. The Lecture was introduced by Immediate Past President Professor John Fitzgerald FAHA.
