Since they combined, Audiophilez have been a mission. Their aims; to discover the sounds no one had before, to push their music as far as it will go, to make each performance fresher and more exciting than the last. It all started with house parties around Sydney. They'd rock up, take over the turntables and have the place rocking till either the cops came or the sun rose. Stepping over a million empty bottles and walking down the driveway the next morning with their record bags weighing them down they knew they were onto something good. Later that day the phone would ring again, "You guys wanna come rock our party tonight?!"
And so it went...long weekends filled with amazing parties, electronic music, crazy people and phat slabs of vinyl flying on and off the turntables or occasionally across the room into the crowd. These early performances paved the way for what has become a long string of gigs for Audiophilez and the 'two decks & mixer' at the house party has developed into multi-mixer performances with 3 or 4 decks, live percussion and effects at some of the best events in town.Fast forward a little and Audiophilez are rocking dance floors and playing the best nightclubs of Sydney.
Their unique mixing style and flare for the breaks genre have seen them snapped up for performances at Australia's 1 Club ( as voted by Dj Mag) the CHINESE LAUNDRY at events such as: Break-Inn, Yum Cha, Club Club & The Garden Parties where Audiophilez have played slots alongside some of the best electronic artists including: PLUMP DJs, KRAFTY KUTS, A-SKILLS, MARTIN H0RGER, THE NEXTMEN, THE FREESTYLERS, DJ HYPER, DOPAMINE, AQUASKY, BASS KLEPH, RONI SIZE, TAYO, JAMES HOLDEN + more. Audiophilez have also played guests spots at DESTINATION, BREAK-DOWN (Easter Special), and were the driving force behind the monthly BREAK-LOOSE event at Henry Afrikas in Manly over the past 3 years. Audiophilez also played at BURNING MAN festival in Nevada, USA, and will be returning on a much bigger scale soon.
2011 has seen Audiophilez bunkering down in the studio working on a swag of originals. With releases on San Francisco based label Teknical Funk, and a fresh new EP called STATIC SHOCK about to drop on Melbourne label STRONTIUM MUSIC, the future looks bright for Audiophilez.
